We are going to be running an evening of praise and worship. We have done these in various places in the past and we are looking to develop something on a more regular basis in the Mourne area. If you are not familiar with the idea I shall explain a little further. We see this is a time to engage with God in worship and focus on him. There is no preaching, teaching or otherwise, but merely creation of a space for God to come among us as we draw close to him. There are no set prayers or prayer agendas, though spontaneous prayer may happen. We have been given the use of the building at Annalong Christian Fellowship, though this is not exclusively an ACF event and as such we are not running this under the name of ACF. We intend to advertise this wider and hope that it will become a truly cross denominational thing. We hope in time to expand this further to include worship leaders from other churches and denominations. But for now we are starting small and it will be a bit experimental as we seek to grow. It will probably just be me leading worship for an hour or so and maybe some CDs. Feel free to stay for as long or short as you like. There’s no obligation to stay the whole evening. We’d just be happy to have you come and worship with us. Please use the Contact Form if you would like directions to the building. |

The European Union is proposing a directive to outlaw discrimination on grounds including sexual orientation and religion in the provision of goods and services. The Directive has great potential to interfere with religious liberty and free speech. It also hands power to Brussels to control important aspects of discrimination law. For more details and to download briefing papers see the Christian Institute's web site . |

Analysis of 2009 European Elections |

 Flags outside European Parliament The elections to the European Parliament have traditionally been the elections with the lowest turn out of all elections, at least amongst UK voters. Yet as the European Parliament has considerable power over many of each nations' domestic affairs I wonder why it is that the European electorate is so apathetic and indifferent to these elections. The European Parliament is continually bringing out europe-wide laws and regulations that shape and direct policy and economy. |

I'd really like to see more people getting involved on this site. There are many things you can do here such as: - List your worship ministry in the Directory;
- Upload some photos of worship events;
- Write a report about a conference or training day;
- Write a Prayer Alert about an issue that affects your country or locality so you can mobilise others to pray with you;
- Share a prophetic word on what God is saying about Europe;
...and more.
All you have to do is register as a member of this site and you can get started. It's very easy to do once you have registered and I can give you some help to get started. Alternatively, you can always just send me your info and I'll add it for you. |

I've just added a couple of new things to the site: - A Discussion Forum where you can share ideas and views on issues related to worship and intercession as it relates to Europe;
- A Photo Gallery, which isn't new but has been put back online after some serious technical issues.
I'd like to invite you to start discussing things and uploading your own photos. All you need to do is to register, which you can do by using the link on the right hand side of the site. |

Report on Fire From the Isles Conference |

I've recently returned from the week long Fire From the Isles Conference, which was held in Jersey. Please Note: This article could be rather long so I'll publish it now and add more as I go along!!! Right from even before the conference started it was clear that the enemy really did not want us to be there. We (myself and my 3 children) flew from Dublin to England and to Jersey on the Saturday before it started. Because of the very heavy rain in Ireland that day (and I mean heavier than normal) our flight to London was delayed by nearly 2 hours and consequently we missed our connection to Jersey meaning an overnight sleepover on the floor in the airport and a new flight the next day, which cost us hundreds of pounds extra. So, with very little sleep, all a bit tired and snappy and with less money we were hoping it was all worth it! And it was!!!!!! |

Major Clean Up of Amsterdam's Red Light District |

I am very encouraged to read that action is being taken to close a lot of the brothels in the red light district of Amsterdam. Whilst there is no doubt a lot of political manouvering it must be said that it follows many years of Christian ministry and prayer in the area. Read more at the Joel News web site. |
